Headlocks for Sheep and Goats

Headlocks for sheep and goats. The headlocks are suitable for sheep and goats with or without horns. Thanks to the closing system the animals will lock themselves in. It is impossible for the animals to escape. This headlock feed barrier will reduce feed stress and prevents the animals to bully each other during feeding. The headlocks are mounted with support columns or on the wall. Optionally, you can add a feeding trough with corresponding brackets. You can release the animals with the control lever. There are two different neck sizes. A neck size of 9.5 cm (37 13/32 inches) is designed for goats and 12 cm (4 23/32 inches) for sheep.

Difference between milking stands and headlocks

The big difference between milking stands or stanchions and the headlocks is how they open. Milking headgates work with a cascading system. The first animal enters a stand and will open the next stand besides him for the second animal. This will go on till all stands are filled and milking can start. When finished you can open all stands together by pulling the control handle. Before producing the milking headlock elements we need to know from which side the sheep or goats will enter! For the standard headlock elements it does not matter.
